Parc Trostre

After repeated calls from Nia Griffith MP, the County’s Highways department has opened up the bus lane at Trostre to taxis. As Lilian Rees, of Le Femm Cabs, explained: "We just could not believe that the bus lane in Trostre was created   without including taxis. Everyone knows what the queues at Trostre can be like, and we need this route in."

Welcoming the change Nia said “This should make journeys quicker and cheaper for shoppers, but it's just one part of my campaign to make Trostre and Pemberton more pedestrian friendly. The retail park owners have responded to my requests by putting taxi drop-off points in front of M&S and a crossing point by the BHS roundabout, but I want to see more progress from the highways department with the new bus shelter and on making it safer to cross from Pemberton to Trostre - every day you see pedestrians taking their lives in their hands on this road, and we badly need a proper crossing."
