Following a tour of the facilities at the official opening in November, Nia Griffth MP said, “I am delighted Thales are making a major investment in this site, bringing valuable jobs to the area.
This top quality project will involve fitting out the new Warthog vehicles with sophisticated communications systems and additional protection. With our proud tradition of automotive industries, we have the right skill - base in the area to attract global technology leaders like Thales.
“It’s good to know too that the skills of our workforce are helping to protect British troops in Afghanistan. I have also been talking to Thales managers about bringing in additional work, such as fitting out police and emergency vehicles.”
